“I can eat glass” #
The project “I can eat glass” was created by Ethan Mollick’s on his I Can Eat Glass page (which disappeared on or about June 2004). This is how Ethan explained the purpose of the project:
“But, if one says ‘I can eat glass, it doesn’t hurt me,’ you will be viewed as an insane native, and treated with dignity and respect.”
He described The I Can Eat Glass Project as “a challenge to the human spirit” and compared it to the Apollo program and the Panama Canal.
A few examples from Kermit project:
- Sanskrit: काचं शक्नोम्यत्तुम् । नोपहिनस्ति माम् ॥
- Classical Greek: ὕαλον ϕαγεῖν δύναμαι· τοῦτο οὔ με βλάπτει.
- Latin: Vitrum edere possum; mihi non nocet.
- Old French: Je puis mangier del voirre. Ne me nuit.
- Old Irish (Ogham): ᚛᚛ᚉᚑᚅᚔᚉᚉᚔᚋ ᚔᚈᚔ ᚍᚂᚐᚅᚑ ᚅᚔᚋᚌᚓᚅᚐ᚜
- Anglo-Saxon (Runes): ᛁᚳ᛫ᛗᚨᚷ᛫ᚷᛚᚨᛋ᛫ᛖᚩᛏᚪᚾ᛫ᚩᚾᛞ᛫ᚻᛁᛏ᛫ᚾᛖ᛫ᚻᛖᚪᚱᛗᛁᚪᚧ᛫ᛗᛖ᛬
- English (IPA): [aɪ kæn iːt glɑːs ænd ɪt dɐz nɒt hɜːt miː] (Received Pronunciation)
- Gothic: 𐌼𐌰𐌲 𐌲𐌻𐌴𐍃 𐌹̈𐍄𐌰𐌽, 𐌽𐌹 𐌼𐌹𐍃 𐍅𐌿 𐌽𐌳𐌰𐌽 𐌱𐍂𐌹𐌲𐌲𐌹𐌸.
- Old Norse (Runes): ᛖᚴ ᚷᛖᛏ ᛖᛏᛁ ᚧ ᚷᛚᛖᚱ ᛘᚾ ᚦᛖᛋᛋ ᚨᚧ ᚡᛖ ᚱᚧᚨ ᛋᚨᚱ
- Hebrew: אני יכול לאכול זכוכית וזה לא מזיק לי
- Yiddish: איך קען עסן גלאָז און עס טוט מיר נישט װײ
- Mongolian (Classic): ᠪᠢ ᠰᠢᠯᠢ ᠢᠳᠡᠶᠦ ᠴᠢᠳᠠᠨᠠ ᠂ ᠨᠠᠳᠤᠷ ᠬᠣᠤᠷᠠᠳᠠᠢ ᠪᠢᠰᠢ - Supposed to be vertical up-to-down, left-to-right.
Let me try again…

Yes, works!
There are pangrams there, too.
